About Sampson Ranch
We raise horses that we want to use, and if we can provide that same opportunity to others then we are happy to do so. Our program is built from mares that earned their place here on the ranch. We believe in depth of pedigree and then taking that pedigree and helping those colts find their purpose.
The Sampson Ranch program is shaped by the country we ranch in and the expectations that come with it. Horses raised here are expected to be sound, mentally tough, and adaptable—the kind that can handle pressure, travel, and real work. We are not interested in shortcuts or chasing what is popular in the moment. Every cross is intentional, and every mare contributes more than just papers.
Azuul, our 2021 blue roan stallion by Badboonarising, represents the next step for the program. We appreciate the intelligence and athleticism he carries as an individual, but his pedigree also brings a modern, high-end breeding that complements our A Streak of Fling, Frenchmans Guy, Metallic Cat, Dash Ta Fame, and A Smooth Guy daughters. He reflects where the program is headed—forward-thinking, performance-driven, and built for longevity.
At the end of the day, there will always be a place for a good horse.
